The benefits of locking your product to a USB stick are:
- Customers own a legitimate copy of the product, yet have the flexibility of moving it between PCs if needed
- If software is being secured it is possible to allow no installation on each PC, ie the software runs from the USB stick
- The product can be copied to standard USB stick, rather than an encrypted USB dongle which tends to be expensive
Once your product is protected, we’ll setup your preferred licence model:
- For eBooks this is typically a perpetual (to infinity and beyond) licence
- For Software this might be a perpetual licence with a trial period or a subscription with a trial period
Customers would purchase the product and be sent a serial number which is used to activate and gain access to the product. Potential customers could also be sent the software to use in a trial period, then when the trial ends they are pointed to your web site to purchase a licence.
With C Force you are in control of the fullfillment process, suited to your business process. Alternatively you can use C Link to automate the issuing of serial numbers to customers, removing the need for manual fulfillment, and improving customer service by responding to purchases immediately after payment.
